About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the daily administration of retirement plans with a focus on assisting participants with benefit inquiries
- Work closely with the retirement plan account managers
- Report to the Retirement Plans Department Manager
- Routine correspondence with retirement plan participants including emails, phone calls, etc.
- Preparing and sending necessary distribution forms to participants/clients on a timely basis
- Processing distributions upon receipt of completed forms on a timely basis
- Maintaining an accurate database to track status of distribution requests
- Preparing and processing Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) by the applicable deadline date each year
- Updating participant records such as vesting at recordkeepers
- Requesting and collecting census data from clients on the applicable quarterly, semi-annual, annual basis
- Following up with client on missing census information
- Entering census data and verifying accuracy
- Checking and verifying receipt of applicable Trust Statements on a monthly basis
- Preparing and sending required Notices by the applicable deadline date
- Preparing and sending required 1099-Rs by applicable deadline date
- Any other assigned tasks given by a Supervisor.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with Retirement Plan Administration is a plus
- Customer Service
- Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
- Strong mathematical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
