About the role
- Performs corporate finance operations, including financial reporting and analysis, accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and month- and year-end close calendar and operation
- Accountable for all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
- Provides input in the development of departmental policies, procedures and protocols
- Independently leads the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports and analysis
- Supports all audit activities and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Works closely with staff to train them in finance and accounting procedures
- Supports the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting and Finance in cash management operations
Requirements
- Required Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 6-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in a nonprofit environment
- Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and GAAP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools
