About the role
- Oversee the preparation of monthly & quarterly reporting and analysis for senior leadership, including providing value-added insights into the operating results of the business and suggestions on how to overcome gaps and make improvements.
- Oversee preparation of actionable management reporting and analysis, Technology and Transformation SG&A, and capital, providing meaningful and fact-based insights to support IT Leadership.
- Partner with CIO and respective Technology leaders to complete the forecast process, including updating assumptions, loading to the system, and developing the consolidated story for review with the Technology Leadership team.
- Support the consolidation of long-term plans, budgets, and forecasts through ownership of timelines and calendars, as well as collaborating with corporate and regional finance teams.
- Collaborate with the Strategy Team and other business leaders to identify, develop, and execute reporting to support Global Insight reporting needs.
- Lead coordination and consolidation of the McCormick’s Capital Expenditure Process, working closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional leads to forecast cash needs, anticipated expenditures, and requirements over the strategic planning horizon.
- Lead post expenditure reviews of capital projects to determine whether the financial objectives of the projects were realized.
- Oversee preparation and analysis of the cashflow forecast and reporting to senior leadership.
- Drive FP&A and Analytics excellence through best practice adoption, knowledge sharing, process transformation, and technology.
- Lead global initiatives to advance and improve Planning and Analysis processes through process redesign, technology improvements, and/or training of finance staff.
- Lead development of FP&A global team through active coaching, supporting individual development plans, and mentorship.
- Effectively manage diversity and inclusion in complex global initiatives where employees and partners work across geographies, time zones, and cultures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or other quantitative degree.
- 8+ years of broad professional financial/accounting experience
- 4+ years’ experience managing people.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and long-term planning.
- Experience and ability to interact with and present to senior levels of the organization.
- Ability to influence cross-functional process teams to problem solve and manage escalations as needed, while remediating conflicts and challenges.
- Understand trends in the industry, including external and internal factors affecting the business, and provide actionable insights.
- Ability to effectively lead teams through transformational change, operating with agility and flexibility.
- Strong collaboration and relationship management knowledge, skills, and abilities to establish credibility and confidence with peers, leadership teams, and external influences.
- Microsoft Office with strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI skills.
