Support the development of account strategy, particularly in areas of assortment, pricing, shelving
Work with regional grocery customers on Geography team
Understand industry, consumer and category trends and translate those insights into actionable strategic business recommendations
Provide proactive analysis and shopper insight driven recommendations and lead presentations related to category business reviews, assortment & space optimization, promotion & pricing effectiveness, and trade efficiency
Leverage analytic tools to identify customer opportunities
Develop collaborative partnerships with key strategic customers to position McCormick as category leader
Manage and develop analysts on the team
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or other related field
6+ years of experience in Sales, Finance, Marketing or Business Management
4+ years of experience customer/sales experience, including 2+ years in Category Management
Strong knowledge of syndicated POS and panel data (IRI, Nielsen, etc.)
Familiarity with pricing, promotion and assortment optimization software and experience working with customer-specific data systems (84.51, Symphony RetailAI, dunnhumby, etc.)
Strong analytic skills and demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable business recommendations that deliver positive results
Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, with the ability to analyze and understand the data and then effectively communicate those insights to both internal and external audiences
Ability to react quickly and complete tasks in a timely manner to meet deadlines
Ability to work in cross-functional teams, self-motivated and team oriented
Understanding of Field Sales and Retailer process in business analytics as well as distribution obstacles is a benefit
Creative problem solving in the dynamic environment as it relates to retail execution
