About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for legal support positions within the firm
  • Coordinate meetings with hiring managers to identify business needs, team dynamics, required skills and recruitment timelines
  • Design and implement proactive sourcing strategies to identify and attract qualified candidates
  • Manage job postings, screening, interviews, assessments, reference checks, offer negotiations and onboarding support
  • Build and maintain talent pools for recurring or high-volume roles
  • Conduct behavioral and competency-based interviews, and recommend top candidates
  • Coordinate technical assessments, document formatting tests and bilingual language proficiency tests
  • Collaborate with HR partners and the compensation team to support hiring decisions
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, salary transparency requirements, internal policies and fair hiring practices
  • Advise managers on interview preparation and execution
  • Promote the employer brand and enhance the candidate experience
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies
  • Provide ad-hoc recruitment support to other client groups
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics, sources of hire, conversion rates, vacancy trends and hiring volumes
  • Prepare quarterly reports and hiring forecasts for leadership
  • Review trends, identify blockers and recommend process improvements
  • Stay current on recruitment trends, best practices, technologies and professional networks
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years of proven experience in full-cycle recruitment or strategic sourcing
  • Bilingual in French and English required
  • Experience in a professional services environment required
  • Recruitment experience within a law firm or the legal services sector is a strong asset
  • Combined experience in agency/recruitment firm and corporate recruitment is an asset
  • Experience recruiting legal assistants, legal administrative assistants, document specialists or comparable legal support roles required
  • Experience in high-volume recruitment and full-cycle recruitment management required
  • Experience in talent acquisition analytics and reporting is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment technologies and e-recruitment tools
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing platforms and social media recruiting tools
