About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Providing independent professional support services as a member of the Vancouver Due Diligence Team to provide specialized due diligence support throughout the Firm by: conducting due diligence for real property and commercial transactions including corporate registry, bankruptcy, personal property security registry, Bank Act security registry, land title, court registry (BC and federal), environmental, and municipal;
  • Analyzing search results and preparing summaries and lists of issues;
  • Coordinating searches throughout all jurisdictions in Canada;
  • Preparing draft PPSA registrations, amendments and discharges;
  • Providing fee quotes for due diligence matters;
  • Keeping up to date on public registry requirements;
  • Liaising with clients, agents and counterparts in our other offices.
  • Assisting with other corporate matters, as required.
  • Maintaining the integrity of all record keeping systems.
  • Keeping current on changes in legislation and government policy and informing others as appropriate.
  • Examining and filing documentation online to the level of accreditation held and maintaining accreditation in good standing.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College Degree/Certificate in Paralegal studies or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum four years of experience in corporate law.
  • Minimum Level 2 Accreditation.
  • Knowledge of ecore is an asset.
