About the role
- Represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in commercial and residential foreclosure, title disputes and real estate litigation
- Manage case load of contested matters on behalf of residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors
- Appear in court and argue motions necessary to the successful completion of both routine and contested foreclosure, eviction, title curative/ title disputes, HOA/COA issues and other matters
- Communicate with clients regularly for updates and case resolution
- Analyze loan files, title reports and other client documents. Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses. Attend trials
- Legal research and writing are required
Requirements
- J.D. degree, licensed in Georgia and in good standing with the Georgia Bar
- Minimum 1-8 years relevant Litigation experience preferred
- Minimum 1-8 years motion practice experience
- Minimum 1-8 years courtroom experience
- Knowledge of Georgia Mortgage Foreclosure Law is helpful, not required
- Knowledge of Georgia Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules
- Previous experience with foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial property is a plus
