About the role

  • Supports the foreclosure team by coordinating and managing the service of legal documents
  • Prepare service packets and work with process servers and vendors
  • Communicate with process servers on the status of service
  • Draft, prepare, and format legal documents including summons and subpoenas
  • Ensure timely responses to a high volume of email correspondence
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business associates and clients
  • Proofread legal documents as required and provide attorney support in a time-sensitive atmosphere
  • Provide regular client status updates and follow up on outstanding documents

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrowers, clients, attorneys, and other parties
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and adapt to change
  • High level reading and writing skills for proofreading and editing
  • Familiarity with case and document management software
  • Experience with client systems such as LPS, SSE Portal, Tempo, Vendorscape is preferred
  • Good understanding of the legal process surrounding foreclosure preferred
