About the role
- Act as the primary authority in all areas of occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance and plant security
- Collect and maintain regulatory data and prepare environmental reports
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures that address key safety issues
- Develop and execute employee monthly safety and environmental training topics
- Ensure a proactive approach to accident prevention by training and advising management and employees
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Environmental Health and Safety or Sustainability Discipline
- At least five (5) years’ EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- OSHA 30-hour Certification is required
- Experience with hazard/exposure identification, auditing, and inspections
- Administration of EHS training program requirements
- A solid working knowledge of OSHA and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience in Manufacturing is required; Food Manufacturing is preferred
