About the role
- Contributing to lighting design development from concept through construction, with opportunities to grow into a project leadership role
- Performing lighting calculations, energy analysis, and photometric modeling
- Producing and coordinating lighting drawings, details, and specifications
- Developing renderings, diagrams, and presentation materials for internal and client-facing use
- Coordinating work within the Mazzetti team and with other disciplines
- Coordinating lighting scope with internal Mazzetti teams, as well as architectural, electrical, and engineering disciplines
- Supporting sustainability goals, including energy efficiency, daylighting, and LEED-related efforts
- Participating in construction-phase services, including submittal reviews and design intent support and site visits.
- Managing assigned tasks, schedules, and deliverables.
- Contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects including healthcare, hospitality, civic, commercial, and residential work
- Integrating sustainable lighting strategies into all phases of design
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field
- 6-12 years of experience in the lighting design industry
- Strong proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and/or other BIM platforms
- Extensive experience with photometric modeling tools such as AGI32, LightStanza, DIALux, or similar
- Demonstrated ability to translate design intent into technically sound, buildable solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently on multiple projects
