About the role

  • Contributing to lighting design development from concept through construction, with opportunities to grow into a project leadership role
  • Performing lighting calculations, energy analysis, and photometric modeling
  • Producing and coordinating lighting drawings, details, and specifications
  • Developing renderings, diagrams, and presentation materials for internal and client-facing use
  • Coordinating work within the Mazzetti team and with other disciplines
  • Coordinating lighting scope with internal Mazzetti teams, as well as architectural, electrical, and engineering disciplines
  • Supporting sustainability goals, including energy efficiency, daylighting, and LEED-related efforts
  • Participating in construction-phase services, including submittal reviews and design intent support and site visits.
  • Managing assigned tasks, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects including healthcare, hospitality, civic, commercial, and residential work
  • Integrating sustainable lighting strategies into all phases of design

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field
  • 6-12 years of experience in the lighting design industry
  • Strong proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and/or other BIM platforms
  • Extensive experience with photometric modeling tools such as AGI32, LightStanza, DIALux, or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to translate design intent into technically sound, buildable solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently on multiple projects
  • Commitment to sustainable, energy-efficient, and human-centered lighting design
