Purchasing all assigned parts and production materials, components, equipment, tooling, and services
Sourcing parts and suppliers for on-time delivery
Building strong internal and external relationships for procurement performance
Analyzing supplier performance and making improvements
Issuing purchase orders and resolving supplier problems
Collecting and analyzing benchmark information/data to update strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations Planning or other related field
2 - 4+ years of automotive experience in purchasing
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Presentation and public speaking skills
Strong and effective negotiation skills
Contract execution and administration, purchase order execution, and the measurement/reporting of the value delivered
Ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of business personnel
Willingness to take initiative
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Sound reasoning and decision-making capability
Comprehensive knowledge of commodities in area of specialization
Detail-oriented and multi-tasking
Problem-Solving capability
