Key responsibilities & impact

Form and develop a thriving Japanese-speaking community.
Attract new members and ensure an inclusive, vibrant atmosphere.
Attend offline events and engage with community members face-to-face.
Moderate and manage existing Discord channel.
Actively interact in chats, help onboard new members, and provide friendly support.
Gather and share user feedback to improve our platform’s functionality.
Prevent and resolve community conflicts with professionalism.
Monitor community metrics and conduct engagement activities to foster participation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Japanese language proficiency at a native level
1+ year of experience as a Community Manager, Content Manager, or Social Media Manager in an online project.
English proficiency at B2 level or higher—our internal team communicates primarily in English.
Proficient in or familiar with Discord—a major plus!
Highly literate, attentive, and empathetic with a keen eye for community sentiment.
Self-driven and proactive — you take ownership and don’t wait to be told what to do.
Excellent communicator — diplomatic, open-minded, and emotionally intelligent.
Skilled in conflict resolution and creating an environment of psychological safety.
