About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support cross-functional engineering efforts using a system-level understanding of products and technologies
  • Create and maintain requirement specifications
  • Analyze stakeholder, product, and safety requirements to define technical system and subsystem requirements
  • Support system design activities and assess impact and conformance to requirements
  • Collaborate with test and validation teams to define verification criteria
  • Review legacy requirements for completeness and correctness

  • Perform FMEA analysis and track findings to resolution
  • Identify process gaps and propose solutions
  • Follow safe work procedures, use appropriate PPE and workplace equipment, and report hazards, injuries, and illness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
  • 3+ years experience in automotive engineering working on software, hardware, or combined hardware/software products
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Understanding of agile startup and engineering principles and mindset
  • Systems thinking and attention to detail
  • Detailed knowledge of requirements management and requirement-based design
  • Strong working knowledge of ADAS/Autonomous Vehicle systems
  • Effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to independently determine approach to high-level direction and tasks, escalating when necessary
  • Passion for self-driving cars and their impact
  • Standard office working conditions, including prolonged sitting, standing, and computer use
  • Minimal travel required: 1%-10%
