Work in conjunction with the Operations Manager to assure compliance with service expectations and achievement of performance goals and objectives.
Prepare reports and maintain records/maintain records as requested or required.
Develop, implement, and deliver training programs for all levels of pharmacy personnel.
Coordinate training schedule with members of management.
Develop and maintain continual education support materials to assist the pharmacy staff in learning the specialized pharmacy systems.
Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and/or business technologies.
Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
Frequently report on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
Participates in the maintenance of corporate compliance and legal board of pharmacy inspection parameters.
Monitor methods used by employees for Guardian Rx and/or POS and make on the spot corrections when needed.
Assist employees with problems concerning “how to” perform specific tasks related to the pharmacy systems.
Assists with staff training and the implementation of processes related to meeting accreditation standards including requirements for Continuous Quality Improvement, Performance Improvement projects, Quality Management, and compliance with all accreditation standards.
Performs routine internal audits to monitor quality markers and various reporting metrics in order to improve pharmacy quality and audit performance and to maintain compliance with accreditation requirements.
May serve as Performance Improvement Coordinator to support the pharmacy accreditation process for the pharmacy system and participates in all relevant discussions and meetings, which may include Performance Improvement, Quality Management, and/or Continuous Quality Improvement.

Requirements
High School Diploma/GED, some college coursework preferred
PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification) required
Minimum of 4 years of Pharmacy experience required
Previous pharmacy system training experience preferred
Must be detail oriented, be able to work independently, and must have solid self-motivation skills.
General knowledge of generally accepted pharmacy principles, practices and procedures, pharmaceutical generic and trade names, general mathematics, personal computers.
Ability to use a computer to assess patient/drug information systems
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal pharmacy support.
Ability to work with close attention to detail and minimal errors.
Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
Working knowledge of desktop computers, including Windows applications.
Experience typing prescriptions required.
Must maintain current, Pharmacy Technician Certification and State Registration (if applicable).
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Scheduling experience for less than 20 employees.
Experience in managing inventories.
Ability to develop and implement employee competency procedures.
Knowledge of pharmacy accreditation and certification requirements such as ACHC and URAC Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation.
