About the role
- Collaborate with the Principal Architect to design secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend services and technologies aligned with business goals.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
- Configure and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Salt Security).
- Analyze system performance and optimize cloud resources for efficiency and cost savings.
- Implement and Enforce cloud security best practices including IAM, API Security, and network security.
- Support compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST) through proper configuration and documentation.
- Oversight and implementation of Application Security (SCA/DAST/SAST)
- Provide Tier 1/2 support for cloud infrastructure issues.
- Assist in planning and executing migrations from on-premises to cloud environments.
- Work closely with DevOps, software engineering, and security teams to ensure seamless cloud operations.
- Maintain clear documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and configurations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles
- Hands-on experience with one or more major cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration in cloud environments
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Preferred but no required: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Experience with Azure DevOps, ARM templates, and Azure Policy
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and Databricks.
