About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise a team of employees and cultivate a high-performance team
- Ensure adequate staff coverage for the assigned program area
- Serve as subject matter expert for an identified area of program knowledge
- Ensure the assigned team meets contract and individual SLAs and related requirements
- Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies with contract management and shared services
- Attend client and stakeholder meetings as needed
- Lead or support assessment, planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of community-based and peer-mentoring programs
- Organize and oversee peer-support networks, including recruiting, training, and coordinating peer counselors
- Collect, analyze, document, and report qualitative and quantitative data for formative and outcome evaluations
- Identify program and service gaps and develop targeted initiatives based on population, location, and mission needs
- Connect SOF personnel and families with Department of Defense resources and crisis-support services
- Review and recommend policies, procedures, and processes to strengthen program alignment and effectiveness
- Collaborate with military Services, DoD, government agencies, and civilian organizations
- Promote help-seeking, resilience, suicide prevention, and stigma reduction
- Prepare briefings, reports, and recommendations for government and program leadership
- Perform other duties assigned in support of program objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of two years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, social work, public health, psychology, or a related field
- Experience supporting program development, peer-support services, prevention initiatives, crisis intervention, community outreach, or social-service planning
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting program data and outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, organization, and stakeholder-engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with military, government, and civilian partners
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to meet contract and government requirements applicable to the position
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain one
- Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US
- Internet speed of 25 Mbps or higher, or 50 Mbps for shared internet connectivity
- Minimum 5 Mbps upload speed
- Category 5 or 6 ethernet connection to the home router
- Private and secure work area and adequate power source
- Smartphone required for logging into Maximus systems
