About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Visit convenience store accounts throughout the assigned territory
- Merchandise and stock products to maximize product visibility and sales
- Build attractive displays and maintain shelf organization
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders when needed
- Complete invoicing, reporting, and route documentation
- Develop positive relationships with store managers and employees
- Manage the route efficiently while working independently
- Deliver products directly to assigned stores
- Fulfill orders and submit post-visit reports
- Create invoices for restock orders and ensure timely, accurate deliveries
- Maintain product displays, signage, and planogram accuracy
- Represent Max Distributing professionally in every account
Requirements
What you’ll need- Retail, merchandising, customer service, delivery, hospitality, sales, route, or account management experience preferred
- No industry experience required; training provided
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Reliable and self-motivated, with ability to work independently
- Strong organization and time-management abilities
- Comfortable using mobile apps, smartphones, tablets, and basic technology
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to lift, stock, and merchandise products throughout the day
- Ability to climb and work at heights of 9 to 12 feet
- Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must reside within the assigned territory
- Valid U.S. driver's license in good standing for at least 3 years and acceptable driving record
- Must be able to travel overnight at least two nights per week; another version specifies up to 30% overnight travel
- Ability to travel outside the assigned geography with advance notice
- Ability to complete multiple store visits daily and drive up to 100 miles per day
- Comfortable engaging in professional selling conversations with retail store personnel
- Ability to inspect, stock, and maintain merchandise and advertising displays
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Professional work ethic, integrity, professionalism, and problem-solving skills
