About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Underwriting merchant accounts.
- Verifying / validating merchant data and determining preliminary or final merchant account approval.
- Collecting, reviewing and analyzing a merchant applicant’s relevant history and records.
- Determining the level of risk and security needed for approval.
- Offering recommendations on whether to approve an application.
- Communicating and coordinating with outside agents regarding merchant applications.
- Working and responding to tickets or other requests from customers, partners and internal Company personnel.
- Collecting data for reporting purposes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of payment industry experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to analyze, test, assess and / or interpret information or data to make recommendations to enhance business operations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks as priorities shift.
- Possess strong analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously while producing a high output of quality work.
