About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of DevOps and infrastructure engineers
  • Establish team expectations, ownership, and accountability
  • Partner with technical leads on technical strategy, architecture, and execution
  • Hire and onboard engineers
  • Lead performance management, career development, and feedback
  • Own team planning, prioritization, capacity management, and delivery
  • Balance reliability, security, customer commitments, and platform investments
  • Communicate infrastructure risks, trade-offs, and progress to stakeholders
  • Build partnerships across Engineering, Product, Security, and Customer Success
  • Guide cloud and on-premises infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and customer-managed environments
  • Oversee infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Own production Kubernetes reliability and operations, including deployments, scaling, monitoring, and incident response
  • Drive CI/CD pipeline development for a large-scale monorepo
  • Establish observability practices across metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
  • Advance SLOs, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and runbook development
  • Support enterprise AI deployments, including GPU infrastructure, model-serving workloads, and high-concurrency systems
  • Improve developer experience, platform usability, and deployment velocity
  • Strengthen secrets management, access controls, and infrastructure security
  • Evaluate tools that improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
  • Participate in incident response and ensure durable improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of professional DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams
  • Deep production Kubernetes expertise, including AKS, EKS, or GKE
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code skills with Pulumi, Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools
  • Experience operating CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, TypeScript, or Bash
  • Understanding of IaaS providers, networking, DNS, load balancing, and TLS
  • Experience with monitoring and observability stacks such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud and on-premises deployments
  • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a ticketing environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Nice to have: GPU infrastructure and ML/LLM serving workloads, including vLLM or TEI
  • Nice to have: Temporal or other workflow orchestration systems
  • Nice to have: Security and compliance background, including SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR
  • Nice to have: Infrastructure cost and capacity management at scale
