About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Pull financial reports to support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Reconcile actuals vs. budget, investigate variances, and provide clear explanations and strategic recommendations to the finance team
- Assist with the preparation of internal financial dashboards and management reports
- Manage the AP process, including capturing all bills across the business, obtaining department approvals, and scheduling payments
- Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
- Ensure all bills are paid accurately and on time, following company policies and controls
- Assist with AR oversight, including invoice preparation and tracking customer payments
- Monitor aging reports and flag overdue accounts to the appropriate stakeholders
- Support follow-up on outstanding invoices when needed
- Own the calculation of sales commission payments based on approved plans and reported performance
- Validate sales data and work with Sales/RevOps to resolve discrepancies
- Prepare clear commission statements for review and approval
- Help maintain proper documentation, controls, and audit trails for all finance activities
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or investment banking
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Ability to pull, download, and categorize financial data from accounting systems
- Understanding and working proficiency in all three primary financial statements (Income Statement (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement)
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, basic analysis)
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
