About the role
- Conduct psychological exams and testing
- Diagnose and treat psychological disorders
- Assist patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors through the use of psychotherapeutic methods and medicine
- Identify psychological, emotional, and behavioral concerns and provide diagnoses
- Create individualized treatment plans for each client
- Prescribe psychotherapeutic medication and adjust prescription according to patient’s response
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan, including all medication information
- Consult with primary care physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care is provided
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest professional developments and research
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited US-based medical school
- Must Hold Active State License and Active DEA
- Current medical license and certification from the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS)
- Deep knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain complex medical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
- Excellent observational and assessment skills
