About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Mattress Firm's vision, Company Initiatives, and sales performance goals across multiple store units
- Hold associates accountable for in-store merchandising execution and sales programs
- Drive KPI results and support the omni-channel customer experience
- Create a customer-centered, compelling environment for team members
- Conduct one-on-one meetings and develop team bio books
- Conduct 30-60-90-day check-ins with new team members
- Manage staffing schedules, reconcile punches, and analyze staffing needs
- Ensure company policies, appearance and functionality standards, and state regulations are followed
- Manage product transfers, inventory flow, stock levels, cash handling, invoicing, and store-level inventory processes
- Coach associates, identify skill gaps, and provide technical and product knowledge
- Achieve or exceed store financial targets through effective execution and customer service
- Execute merchandising, marketing, POP, social media, opening, and closing standards
- Monitor competition, advertisements, and services and develop counter-strategies
- Partner with leadership, marketing, Operations, and corporate partners as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to plan strategically
- Ability to analyze company-provided reporting to determine staffing levels
- Ability to stand or sit for 8+ hours at a time
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ pounds
- Ability to execute merchandising, marketing, POP, inventory, cash-handling, and invoicing procedures
- Ability to coach associates and address skill gaps through development
- Ability to provide technical and product knowledge to associates and customers
