About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective repairs using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Conduct daily inspections of machinery to identify potential failures and address issues proactively.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical problems quickly to prevent unplanned outages.
  • Follow all company health and safety regulations and promote safe work practices to maintain an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workplace.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Accurately complete maintenance work orders and documentation on time.
  • Follow established maintenance processes and Leader Standard Work procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve equipment issues and improve operational performance.
  • Provide knowledge sharing and hands-on training to junior team members with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Support additional maintenance or facility-related duties as required to meet operational needs.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician or millwright in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical production equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, and use diagnostic tools for troubleshooting.
  • Experience using CMMS software for work order tracking and preventative maintenance scheduling.
  • Industrial Mechanic/Millwright Certificate of Qualification is preferred.
  • Welding certification or experience with fabrication is considered an asset.
  • Strong commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform tasks that may include climbing, kneeling, stooping, or crouching as needed.
