About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support daily manufacturing operations by providing hands‑on technical guidance to supervisors, operators, and maintenance teams to ensure safe, stable, and efficient production.
  • Diagnose and resolve process, tooling, and equipment issues using structured problem‑solving and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Lead and execute process improvement and process development projects that increase line efficiency, reduce cost variances, improve product margins, and enhance quote competitiveness.
  • Partner with product engineering, product development, product management, and quality teams to support new product development and process introductions while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Apply data‑driven analysis to evaluate process performance, identify variability, and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Contribute to Environmental Health & Safety initiatives to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Support the implementation of the Mattr Management System (MMS) by eliminating waste, improving process flow, optimizing resource utilization, and increasing operational consistency.
  • Build embedded technical capability within the organization through peer training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred; other relevant technical degrees or backgrounds will be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment - with manufacturing systems and process improvement methodologies.
  • 1–2 years of experience in project coordination or project management.
  • 1–2 years of experience using CAD.
  • 1–2 years of experience applying Lean Six Sigma tools, including process mapping, root cause analysis, 8D, A3, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, DOE, and capability studies.
  • 1–2 years of experience with quality management systems such as ISO or IATF, including control plans and PFMEAs.
