About the role
- Design new equipment, develop innovative concepts, modify existing solutions, and prepare technical drawings and specifications
- Perform the design calculations required for all projects
- Carry out sizing calculations to ensure design compliance
- Design mechanical parts in 3D
- Write functional requirements for new machines under development
- Provide technical support to sales, production, service, and purchasing teams
- Communicate with suppliers for adaptation projects
- Actively collaborate with the team and other departments
- When required, participate in system installations at customer sites
- Strictly apply safety rules, both internally and at customer sites
- Perform other related tasks as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant field
- More than 10 years of relevant experience
- Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) is an asset
- Excellent command of French, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of English is required to regularly communicate with clients outside Québec
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is an asset
- Structured, organized, creative, and team-oriented
- Strong interest in automation
- Available to travel to the head office in Saint-Georges-de-Beauce for project-related work
