About the role
- Design new equipment, develop innovative concepts, modify existing solutions, and prepare technical drawings and specifications
- Perform the design calculations required for all projects
- Carry out sizing calculations to ensure designs meet requirements and comply with standards
- Model mechanical parts in 3D
- Draft functional requirements for new machines under development
- Provide technical support to sales, production, service, and purchasing teams
- Communicate with suppliers regarding adaptation projects
- Actively collaborate with your team and other departments
- When required, participate in the installation of systems at client sites
- Rigorously apply safety rules both internally and at client locations
- Perform any other related duties as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant training
- More than 10 years of relevant experience
- Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (an asset)
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
- Knowledge of English is required to regularly communicate with clients outside Quebec
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is an asset
- Structured, organized, creative, and team-oriented
- Strong interest in automation
- Available to travel to headquarters for project progress
