About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and maintain supply chain reports
- Analyze report results and improve reporting efficiency
- Own production planning and inventory reporting
- Provide coverage for production planning personnel
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service teams
- Develop reports analyzing KPIs to identify trends and focus areas
- Enhance inventory reports to facilitate inventory reduction
- Perform safety stock and reorder point analysis
- Create dashboards to track, analyze, and display data
- Conduct deep-dive analysis into analytical trends and issues
- Improve and automate current and future reports
- Support AS&OP meetings through data collection and slide maintenance
- Model and analyze supply chain scenarios and provide recommendations
- Establish production and inventory plans balancing resources, customer requirements, and inventory objectives
- Monitor inventories, material movements, storage, reporting, and inventory accuracy
- Maintain sales and transport order demand and achievable due dates
- Monitor production orders and firm planned requirements through completion
- Manage WIP and scrap at outside vendors
- Monitor and resolve backorders
- Review work-center loading versus available manufacturing capacity
- Ensure employee and personal safety and departmental conformance with safety policies
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably related to Supply Chain Management
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an analytical role
- Minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing SAP or related ERP Software
- Proficient hands-on experience and knowledge using Production Planning, Capacity Planning and MRP modules
- Experience with SAP IBP is a plus
- Advanced skills and experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
- ASCM CPIM/CIRM/CSCP certification desired
- Manufacturing experience, preferably in the specialty metals industry
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing innovative ideas with demonstrated business results
- Positive, risk-taking attitude with a strong bias for action
- Willingness to travel 10% overnight to worldwide Materion locations
