Take ownership of payroll operations while supporting broader People initiatives like benefits, compliance, onboarding, and HRIS administration.
Oversee all payroll-related functions for 150+ employees, including processing new hires, termination status changes, reporting, compliance, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposit.
Assist with HR-related responsibilities including Benefits and open enrollment, workers comp and unemployment claims, compliance reporting, HRIS onboarding, leave administration and other tasks as needed.
Calculate and process employee salaries, wages, bonuses and commissions accurately and timely.
Verify and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll processes and provide payroll data for management including month-end and accounting reports.
Stay updated on payroll software and technology trends, and ensure compliance with tax laws and deductions including Social Security and Medicare.
Manage contractor management platform: onboard contractors, keep data updated, and process monthly invoices for payment.
Support global payroll platform and onboard international employees.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent
4+ years related experience or equivalent.
Experience in doing a hybrid role that requires both HR and Payroll expertise
Ability to handle sensitive information and ensure confidentiality
Detail-oriented and high attention to detail
Proficient on ADP Workforce Now or ADP Total Source. ADP TeamPay is a plus.
Advanced in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Experience with Global payroll is preferred including in Canada, Italy, UK, France, Germany and US
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with fearless curiosity
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis and reporting
