About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute comprehensive government relations strategies to advance priorities across the United States
  • Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with federal and state policymakers, regulators, and key staff
  • Directly advocate on priority issues, representing the company in meetings and policy forums
  • Manage external lobbying firms, consultants, and associated budgets
  • Monitor, analyze, and shape legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the business
  • Partner closely with global Government Relations leads, Legal, Trust & Safety, Product, and Corporate Communications
  • Develop and refine clear, actionable policy positions and advocacy materials
  • Support senior executive advocacy efforts and third-party memberships in Washington, DC
  • Represent the company in industry associations, coalitions, and public forums

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in law, public policy, political science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or public policy
  • Strong understanding of U.S. legislative and regulatory processes at both federal and state levels
  • Experience working on issues such as online safety, privacy, competition, or emerging technologies
  • Established network within Congress, federal agencies, state governments, and relevant industry groups
  • Excellent communicator with ability to articulate complex policy issues clearly and persuasively
  • Conversational Spanish is a plus
  • Naturally curious, interested in making the world a less lonely place
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and global environment
  • Willing to travel at least 40% of the time
