About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Floorcare Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpet while meeting quality and timeliness standards
  • Maintain a high standard of excellence
  • Work with efficiency and quality
  • Inspect all areas prior to cleaning for damage and stains
  • Determine washing method based on condition
  • Vacuum loose dirt/debris from items to be cleaned
  • Pre-treat stains according to fiber- surface
  • Walk all assigned buildings or floors to ensure all are ready for occupancy
  • Report unit maintenance issues as per company procedure
  • Lift and move furniture as needed
  • Properly use carpet cleaning equipment
  • Maintain carpet cleaning equipment daily
  • Store all chemicals in approved area
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage closets
  • Maintain and operate company-owned vehicles
  • Ensure a safe working environment at each site and office
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to ensure duties are completed on time
  • Personal timeliness
  • Be prompt with all assignments and appointments
  • Use supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively
  • Perform inventories of supplies and equipment
  • Assist in solving guest complaints promptly

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 18 months of full-time work experience directly related to the role
  • Prefer experience with stripping/waxing floors
  • Carpet cleaning experience
  • Must be trained thoroughly before beginning work - mentor (trainer) approval before working alone
  • Must be well-versed on chemicals and their use
