About the role
- Oversee the consumer insights and market research function for MJUS to grow the brand and inform decisions related to brand strategy, innovation, and commercial execution.
- Report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and drive business decisions through insights.
- Conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative research to understand consumer preferences, trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Design and execute consumer surveys end-to-end and moderate focus groups and in-depth interviews.
- Analyze data from surveys, social media, and sales reports to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities and leverage data analytics tools and CRM systems.
- Track brand mentions and sentiment across channels; manage brand health, brand lift, and equity trackers and synthesize into cohesive narratives.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop strategies and campaigns based on consumer insights and own end-to-end creation of insights presentations, including Board level materials.
- Ensure data collection and analysis adhere to legal and ethical standards and manage the budget allocated for research and insights activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in market analysis, data insights & analytics
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Confidence with a variety of research methodologies, including a/b testing, MaxDiff, monadic, TURF Analysis, etc.
- Familiarity with market research vendors such as Kantar, Nielsen, Suzy, etc.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to find the “now what, so what”
- Proven experience in market research, data analytics, trend following and pulling unique data sets from multiple sources to tell a compelling story.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and data story-telling skills, including the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and social media management platforms.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and influencing abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience on the supplier side and brand side of research/insights preferred
- Consumer good industry experience preferred
