About the role

  • The Assistant Attorney General (AAG) will be involved in investigating and prosecuting criminal conduct related to expanded gaming in the Commonwealth.
  • Handle a District Court caseload and lead and coordinate investigations and prosecutions with the Massachusetts State Police and Springfield Police.
  • Additional duties will include screening potential cases, fostering relationships with industry stakeholders, participating in trainings, and working cohesively with others in the Attorney General’s Office.

Requirements

  • Law school graduate and member of the Massachusetts bar.
  • At least two (2) years of litigation and trial experience as an attorney, or one (1) year of criminal prosecution experience.
  • Willing to learn, eager to be challenged, and comfortable appearing in court.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and ethical, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
  • A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required and ability to travel anywhere in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to support investigations and litigation.
