About the role
- Represent state officials and agencies in appeals and litigation in state and federal courts regarding state statutes, regulations, policies, and agency adjudicatory decisions.
Requirements
- Must be a member of the Massachusetts bar or have a pending application for admission.
- Must be a member of the bar of the United States District Court for Massachusetts or be eligible for admission in short order.
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of relevant legal experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with constitutional law, administrative law, civil and appellate procedure, and trial practice.
- Effective legal writing skills and the ability to independently handle litigation in the trial and appellate courts.
- Demonstrated interest in public service and working in a collaborative, public-law environment.
