About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive and sort pharmaceuticals and supplies from multiple vendors for areas associated with direct replenishment
  • Scan received items into computer systems and/or complete manual documentation required by DSCSA
  • Reconcile drug orders received with processed orders and report variances to the Senior Procurement Specialist
  • Maintain archives of receiving, DSCSA, and T3 information associated with drug orders
  • Manage inventory receiving at central receiving for direct replenishment zones
  • Prepare received and documented items for delivery to areas of use
  • Order and manage internal shipping materials
  • Use TraceLink to document orders requiring TraceLink records for DSCSA
  • Coordinate delivery of ordered items from central supply to final endpoints
  • Stage orders for pickup and delivery to direct replenishment zones
  • Assist the Business Procurement Manager and Senior Procurement Specialist with reconciliation and delivery tracking
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Pharmacy Technician [MA State License] required
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification [CPhT] required
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required
  • Hospital-related experience, formal training, or certification from a pharmacy technician training program 2-3 years preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in supply chain strongly preferred
  • 2-3 years experience in pharmacy supply chain strongly preferred
  • Must be able to pass both licensure and area specific competences
  • Knowledge of the pharmacology of drugs and the legal aspects of dispensing
  • Familiarity with pharmacy practice settings, legal requirements and limitations, prescription information and calculations, drug identification and generic equivalents, drug manufacturing, packaging and labeling information, and proper drug handling and storage practices
