About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist healthcare teams with clinical and non-clinical patient services under provider direction
  • Take vital signs
  • Document patient information
  • Schedule appointments

  • Interact directly with patients to ensure comfort and address concerns
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care
  • Work autonomously at the top of education/certification while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Float to other WHP departments when needed for cross-coverage and adequate staffing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Direct Medical Assistant experience or related medical field experience preferred
  • 0–1 year of experience acceptable
  • Experience may not be accepted in lieu of the required education
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Start time between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM
  • Ability to work onsite at 73 Corporate Drive, Portsmouth, NH
  • May be asked to float to other departments in the WHP system during staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances
