About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist healthcare teams with clinical and non-clinical patient services under provider direction
Take vital signs
Document patient information
Schedule appointments
Manage patient flow
Interact directly with patients to ensure comfort and address concerns
Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care
Work autonomously at the top of education/certification while contributing to a collaborative team
Float to other WHP departments when needed for cross-coverage and adequate staffing

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent required
Direct Medical Assistant experience or related medical field experience preferred
0–1 year of experience acceptable
Experience may not be accepted in lieu of the required education
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred
Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Start time between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM
Ability to work onsite at 73 Corporate Drive, Portsmouth, NH
May be asked to float to other departments in the WHP system during staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances
