About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide front-line support for the Division of Women’s Health
- Perform general administrative and secretarial duties under moderate supervision
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes, correspondence, documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Manage schedules, appointments, itineraries, meetings, travel, conference calls, and expense reports
- Answer and transfer phone calls
- Perform transcription and proofread/edit literature when needed
- Prepare department applications
- Remain knowledgeable of business unit policies
- Handle sensitive, complex, and confidential contacts and matters
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 2-3 years of Administrative Assistant experience required
- Experience working in medical or related fields preferred
- Highly detail-oriented with ability to track details and appreciate time pressures
- Outstanding professional written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with office procedures and equipment, including filing, copying, scanning, and printing
- High proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to proofread and edit written documents
- Ability to use phone system and standard office equipment
- Ability to manage one's own time and the time of others
- Familiarity with medical terminology
