About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct patient care as a CRNA
  • Directly manage and remain accountable for a small to medium-sized team of CRNAs
  • Oversee clinical SRNA training
  • Hire, performance-manage, and complete performance appraisals for the FXB CRNA team
  • Orient, train, and schedule SRNA staff
  • Assist with quality assurance programs and quality improvement efforts
  • Ensure continuing education and teaching for SRNAs
  • Liaise between the nurse anesthesia program and BWH physician and CRNA staff
  • Ensure CRNAs follow proper billing compliance rules and methodology
  • Comply with all policies and standards
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's Degree Nurse Anesthesia Practitioner required
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist [CRNA (NBCRNA)] required
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required
  • Basic Life Support required
  • 5-7 years of experience as a CRNA required
  • Strong clinical knowledge as a CRNA
  • Strong managerial presence and ability to provide and direct feedback and guidance to staff
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-oriented with strong attention to detail
