About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Natick and Newton Express Care centers
- Report to the Senior Operations Manager
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the outpatient practices
- Supervise Medical Assistants, Rad Techs, and front desk staff
- Recruit, hire, evaluate, train, and develop support staff
- Provide day-to-day supervision and direction to support staff
- Assign work and monitor performance
- Monitor and coordinate managed care and billing functions, including referrals, insurance verification, registration, cash collection, encounter forms, and billing
- Assess and manage patient scheduling, wait times, staff coverage, ancillary tests, follow-up appointments, phone systems, transcription services, and volume issues
- Oversee purchase orders, petty cash, and check requests
- Maintain and order office supplies and equipment
- Provide cross coverage and assistance in all areas as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Associate's Degree in Related Field of Study preferred
- Supervisory experience: 0-1 year required
- Experience working in an academic healthcare environment: 2-3 years required
- Ability to work onsite
- Availability for additional coverage as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to cross cover and take on additional responsibilities
- Experience with recruiting, hiring, evaluating, training, and developing support staff
- Experience supervising clinical support staff and managing practice operations
