About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership for cardiac stress nurses, cardiac echo sonographers, and vascular sonographers across assigned North region locations.
- Oversee a team of approximately 20 direct reports, including staffing, scheduling, coverage planning, onboarding, coaching, and staff development.
- Partner with cardiology providers, practice leadership, scheduling teams, and clinical colleagues to improve workflows, quality, access, and patient experience.
- Maintain visibility across sites through rounding, staff check-ins, and collaboration with site-based teams.
- Support quality improvement, regulatory readiness, emergency preparedness, workflow standardization, and urgent operational needs.
- Oversee equipment integrity, annual inspections, vendor relationships, and related follow-up to support safe, reliable cardiac diagnostic operations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years RN experience required.
- Previous formal or informal nursing leadership experience preferred.
- Current, unrestricted Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required.
- BLS preferred; ACLS strongly preferred for leaders supporting cardiac stress testing.
- Experience in cardiology, cardiac diagnostics, ambulatory specialty care, acute care, emergency nursing, critical care, telemetry, cath lab, or a related cardiovascular setting preferred.
- Prior charge nurse, supervisor, assistant nurse manager, nurse manager, or comparable leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
