About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership for cardiac stress nurses, cardiac echo sonographers, and vascular sonographers across assigned North region locations.
  • Oversee a team of approximately 20 direct reports, including staffing, scheduling, coverage planning, onboarding, coaching, and staff development.
  • Partner with cardiology providers, practice leadership, scheduling teams, and clinical colleagues to improve workflows, quality, access, and patient experience.
  • Maintain visibility across sites through rounding, staff check-ins, and collaboration with site-based teams.
  • Support quality improvement, regulatory readiness, emergency preparedness, workflow standardization, and urgent operational needs.
  • Oversee equipment integrity, annual inspections, vendor relationships, and related follow-up to support safe, reliable cardiac diagnostic operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years RN experience required.
  • Previous formal or informal nursing leadership experience preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required.
  • BLS preferred; ACLS strongly preferred for leaders supporting cardiac stress testing.
  • Experience in cardiology, cardiac diagnostics, ambulatory specialty care, acute care, emergency nursing, critical care, telemetry, cath lab, or a related cardiovascular setting preferred.
  • Prior charge nurse, supervisor, assistant nurse manager, nurse manager, or comparable leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
