Radiation Therapist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administers radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely
- Positions and immobilizes patients according to treatment plan
- Utilizes the Quality Assurance (QA) program for treatment delivery and patient care
- Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific requirements for the population served
- Ability to teach student therapists and observers in the department
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy required or Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy preferred
- NH Radiation Therapist license required
- Basic Life Support Certification required
- Clinical internship in a major cancer center 0-1 year preferred
- Must demonstrate efficient knowledge of equipment operation and tools specific to the assigned area
- Ability to establish effective interpersonal professional relationships with physicians, management, peers, patients, and families
- Must have ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information
- Proficient in the use of Radiation Oncology Information Systems and software like Mosaiq, ARIA, EPIC, Vision RT, and Eclipse
