About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handling end-to-end corporate client onboarding with focus on new-to-bank relationships across UAE, Mashreq’s footprint markets, and non-presence countries including KSA.
  • Preparing high-quality credit applications, ensuring compliance with policies, strategies and regulations.
  • Identifying key risks, and implementing mitigants aligned with the bank’s target market, credit appetite, and strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with originators on new to bank transactions, including discussions with customers on funding requirements.
  • Prepare high quality credit proposals with a focus on identifying major risks.
  • Ensure credit application submission within acceptable turnaround time which meets internal standards.
  • Manage risks in line with banks risk appetite while highlighting any policy exceptions within the credit application.
  • Perform required Transaction screening and conducting independent due diligence.
  • Establish cordial relationship with Credit risk Management.
  • Handle monthly/quarterly reports and ensure timely submissions.
  • Adhere to risk and compliance policies and practices and obtain necessary compliance approvals.
  • Review of facility documents in coordination with originators for facility execution.
  • Coordinate with operation team for limits loading and obtain necessary approvals.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting with strong GPA.
  • Master degree in Finance or Business Administration is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6-7 years of Credit risk management or Corporate banking experience with a regional or multinational bank.
  • Completion of relevant bank credit program or professional certification in risk management.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret financial data with knowledge of credit risk and financial analysis.
  • Good understanding of Central bank regulations, AML and Fraud policies;
  • Good knowledge of banking products and understanding bank operations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.
  • Ability to multitask, meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure.
