About the role
- Execute business growth plans for Delta Commercial's Heavy Commercial segment
- Act as key point of contact for manufacturing agency partners and maintain effective communication with independent agency network
- Build and expand specification presence by developing, maintaining, and expanding relationships with top specifiers, architects, designers, and facilities managers
- Cultivate relationships with mechanical contractors, owner groups, wholesale distributors and other key stakeholders to drive business growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align priorities, uncover market opportunities, and support sustainable pipeline growth
- Execute go-to-market plans to secure commercial opportunities and build long-term market viability
- Leverage external networks and industry knowledge to unlock and accelerate growth and bring strategic insights to differentiate in the marketplace
- Deliver solutions to complex customer needs and ensure consistent tracking, measurement, and communication of progress toward key business goals
- Represent Delta Commercial at local, regional, and national trade events and organize local special event days focused on key segments and influencers
- Actively involve with key member industry organizations including Mechanical Contractors Association(s), Health Engineering Society (HES), and American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE)
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commercial sales, business development, or account management, ideally within the institutional, healthcare, or heavy commercial building sectors
- Strong understanding of complex commercial sales cycle, including tenacity to hold specifications throughout the project lifecycle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present confidently to internal teams, agency partners, industry influencers, and customers
- Ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and develop strategies to capture value
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Smartsheet
- Experience with CRM systems and sales tracking tools
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and foster productive relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients
- High degree of initiative, ownership, and accountability; comfortable working independently while aligned with broader team goals
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within North America, primarily the United States
- Delta Commercial business knowledge: familiarity with commercial segments and go-to-market strategies
- Effective business communication: translate technical solutions into clear business value
