About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach designated courses face-to-face and/or online, including synchronous and asynchronous instruction
- Keep teaching materials current
- Interact with students in discussions and hands-on activities
- Continuously grade assignments
- Monitor student performance throughout courses
- Maintain appropriate office hours
- Support students in their educational and career progression
- Work with the School of Design + Art Director to identify new subjects
- Identify guest speakers and potential adjuncts to deliver course material
- Follow the prepared syllabus and curriculum through Canvas
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master of Arts degree required
- Minimum of 18 graduate credits directly related to the teaching field required
- Five years of professional experience in the field preferred
- Experience teaching in higher education or with adult learners preferred
- Submit a letter of interest
- Submit a current C.V. or resume
- Submit a portfolio of no more than 20 images (10 professional and 10 student work) in PDF format, or a link to a digital portfolio
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check and employment verification
