About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum management
- Provide on-site physician coverage for Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and antepartum units throughout scheduled shifts
- Provide on-site physician coverage for gynecologic patients, including inpatient and emergency department consults and admissions
- Diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions across the lifespan
- Perform office-based procedures and surgical interventions as appropriate
- Deliver preventive care, including well woman exams and health screenings
- Counsel patients on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning
- Interpret diagnostic tests and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
- Collaborate with nursing, advanced practice providers, and ancillary staff
- Adhere to clinical guidelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and professional development activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- MD or DO degree
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active and unrestricted state medical license
- DEA registration or eligibility
- Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
