About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You work on infrastructure projects in HOAI service phases 1–5 and, depending on experience, take on your own project responsibility.
  • Main focus areas: design planning in sewer construction, e.g. new sewers, stormwater retention basins, pretreatment facilities and wastewater pumping stations
  • Development of residential and commercial areas, either within existing built-up areas or on greenfield sites
  • Planning and evaluation of municipal drainage systems
  • Hydraulic calculations and simulations: flow rates, surcharging, flow paths and network performance
  • Water pipeline construction, pressure pipelines and pipeline works, including trenchless/no‑dig methods within existing infrastructure
  • Simulation of water supply networks, e.g. firefighting flow requirements, supply reserves or effects of new development areas
  • Sewer rehabilitation including evaluation of CCTV inspections, condition assessment and development of repair or rehabilitation concepts
  • Drainage applications, site drainage, DIN 1986 and flood/surcharge assessments
  • Coordination with clients, authorities and project stakeholders
  • Review and commenting on design documentation
  • Project invoicing and support regarding contracts, additional services and change orders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Industrial Engineering with a focus on construction
  • Ideally experience in sewer construction, drainage, water pipeline construction, urban water management or infrastructure planning
  • Preferably 2–3 years of professional experience; motivated career starters are also welcome
  • Independent, careful and well-structured working style
