About the role
- Calculate, validate, and process quarterly sales commission payouts.
- Maintain audit trails, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure compliance with plan rules.
- Support quota deployment, crediting, and plan governance processes.
- Provide clear and timely communication to sales teams on commission structures, attainment, and payments.
- Issue compensation plans annually and to new hires.
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards to track sales performance vs. quota.
- Analyze incentive effectiveness, highlight trends, and recommend plan improvements.
- Partner with Sales Ops, HR, and Finance to model scenarios and “what-ifs.”
- Leverage Sales Performance Management (SPM) tools (e.g., Varicent, Xactly, Callidus) for automation and scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in sales compensation, or a related analytical role, preferably in the high-technology sector, with a preference for experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Strong understanding of sales commission structures, quota based incentives, and revenue crediting.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
- Financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and explain implications.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, able to interface with sales and cross functional teams.
- Experience with Sales Performance Management (SPM) software - Varicent, Xactly, Callidus, etc. preferred.
- Ability to approach tasks with a strong sense of urgency, consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Power Query, Power BI, Kinaxis, and Salesforce.com is preferred.
