About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Leads the migration of legacy reporting platforms (e.g., Cognos, Tableau, SSRS) to Power BI
Designs and implement robust semantic models and data sets to support self-service analytics and standardized reporting across clinical, operational, and financial domains
Establishes and enforce Power BI governance standards, including workspace architecture, data security, and lifecycle management
Partners with data architecture and engineering teams to ensure optimized data pipelines and integration
Collaborates with clinical, actuarial, and operational stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements
Mentors junior analysts in best practices in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
Monitors and optimizes Power BI performance, including dataset refresh schedules, query tuning, and report responsiveness
Supports change management and user adoption through training and documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree required
Master's Preferred
Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300 or PL-600) preferred
8+ years of experience in business intelligence or analytics, with at least 2 years in a Senior Power BI development role
Familiarity with provider organizations, ACOs, and/or health insurance operations
Deep expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and dimensional data modeling
Strong understanding of semantic layer design and enterprise data architecture
Experience with healthcare data such as claims, encounters, EHR, HEDIS, risk adjustment, or quality metrics
Familiarity with value-based care models, population health analytics, or CMS reporting requirements
