About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the governance, development, and maintenance of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions
Oversee the design and management of Power BI semantic models, datasets, and reporting structures
Ensure reporting assets are accurate, reliable, and aligned with organizational standards
Provide technical leadership in Power BI development practices
Lead the migration of legacy reporting platforms to Power BI
Implement robust semantic models and data sets to support self-service analytics and standardized reporting
Establish and enforce Power BI governance standards
Partner with data architecture and engineering teams to ensure optimized data pipelines
Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and data visualization strategies
Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices
Monitor and optimize Power BI performance
Support change management and user adoption through training and documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree required
Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300 or PL-600) preferred
8+ years of experience in business intelligence or analytics
At least 2 years in a Senior Power BI development role
Familiarity with provider organizations, ACOs, and/or health insurance operations
Demonstrated experience migrating reports and dashboards to Power BI in a healthcare setting
Deep expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and dimensional data modeling
Strong understanding of semantic layer design and enterprise data architecture
Experience working with healthcare data such as claims, encounters, EHR, HEDIS, risk adjustment, or quality metrics
Familiarity with value-based care models, population health analytics, or CMS reporting requirements
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to multitask and communicate well within IT and within the business
