About the role
- Lead and manage a small field sales team (team of two) for Marshalls Aggregates & Block Stone
- Develop and execute sales strategy to exceed targets and drive market expansion across Yorkshire and Lancashire
- Personally conduct field sales activity and customer visits across assigned postcodes (DE, DN, HD, LN, NG, S, WF)
- Responsible for financial performance of the Region against agreed targets
- Develop long-term trading relationships with key customers and conduct regular business reviews
- Identify and manage opportunities, secure specifications and sales for Aggregate products from Stainton/Maltby Quarry via in-person and virtual contact
- Promote Marshalls products and services to support national sales targets in line with the business plan
- Split working week between Stainton/Maltby Quarry site, field, home office and Head Office in Elland as required
Requirements
- Aggregate Sales experience preferred
- Strong sales experience in an external/field sales environment within the construction industry
- Previous experience managing and developing a small sales team
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service
- Good understanding of the construction industry
- Self-motivated and performance-oriented
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build long-term relationships
- Experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to develop value-added presentations
- UK driving licence required
- Must live on-patch: DE, DN, HD, LN, NG, S, WF
