About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive and acknowledge new claims, assess coverage, and communicate findings to brokers and insureds
  • Determine claim liabilities, value, and service provider fees
  • Set reserves with low to moderate financial authority in accordance with company and legal standards
  • Appoint and direct appropriate service partners to defend insured parties and quantify liability and damages
  • Assess insureds’ financial exposure and set reserves accordingly
  • Obtain necessary reserving, settlement, and payment authority
  • Notify insurers when claims exceed specified criteria
  • Develop final reports summarizing each claim’s lifecycle
  • Lead daily operations from a support and administrative level
  • Coordinate complex logistics and task assignments for client relationship projects
  • Ensure effective communication and problem resolution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience with low to moderate complexity in property and auto claims
  • Nationwide adjuster’s license, or willingness and ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
  • Strong understanding of insurance coverage and claims processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to assess financial exposure and set appropriate reserves
  • Experience with low to moderate complexity in liability or flood claims is a plus
  • Familiarity with legal standards and company policies related to claims is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
